emailval.net ("emailval", "we", "us" or "our") operates an email validation API available at emailval.net and api.emailval.net.

2. What data we process

Account and billing information

When you purchase access to the service, we may process your email address, API/account identifiers and billing-related information needed to provide the service and manage your subscription. Payment card details are handled by our payment processor and are not stored by emailval as raw card numbers.

Email addresses submitted for validation

Email addresses submitted to the validation API are processed solely to perform the requested validation. According to our service design, submitted email addresses are processed in memory and are not stored as a persistent customer dataset after processing. We do not use submitted addresses to build marketing lists or sell them to third parties.

Operational and aggregate information

We may retain non-content operational information such as request timestamps, API/account identifiers, usage totals, billing totals, error information and aggregate counts. We do not intentionally log the email addresses submitted for validation.

Support communications

If you contact us, we process the information you provide so that we can respond to your request and maintain a record of the support interaction where reasonably necessary.

3. How we use personal data

Email addresses submitted for validation are designed to be processed in memory and discarded after processing rather than retained as a persistent dataset.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. Data transmitted to our services is protected using HTTPS/TLS encryption. Access to service infrastructure is restricted according to operational requirements.

No internet service can guarantee absolute security, but we continuously work to reduce security and privacy risks.

7. Service providers

We may use trusted third-party providers to operate parts of the service, such as payment processing, hosting/infrastructure, email delivery and monitoring. Providers receive only the information reasonably required for their function and are expected to process it under appropriate contractual and security arrangements.

8. International transfers

Some service providers or infrastructure may process data outside the UK or European Economic Area. Where applicable, we use a lawful transfer mechanism and appropriate safeguards required by applicable data-protection law.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live and the applicable law, you may have rights including access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, objection, data portability and withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent. You may also have the right to complain to your applicable data-protection supervisory authority.

10. Cookies and similar technologies

Our website uses essential technologies required for basic operation and security. Non-essential Google advertising and measurement technologies are disabled by default and activated only after the visitor gives consent through our cookie banner.

If you accept non-essential cookies, we use Google Ads/Google tag technology to measure advertising performance and support advertising features where enabled. Consent signals are communicated to Google using Google's consent mode. If you reject non-essential cookies, the Google Ads tag is not loaded by the website.

11. Managing cookie consent

You can reject non-essential advertising and measurement technologies using the cookie banner shown on your first visit. Your choice is stored locally in your browser. Clearing your browser's site data may reset that choice.

The service is intended for businesses and other users who can lawfully enter into contracts for the service. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children in violation of applicable law.
